Spigraph joins forces with Alos, the Swiss-German group
The Spigraph Group is speeding up its European development and taking a foothold in Germany and Switzerland by completing the acquisition of the Alos Group, thus becoming the European No. 2.
Zurich, July 20,2011 –The French leading value added distributor of document capture solutions completed the acquisition of Alos Group, a Swiss and German family-owned group. Backed by the private equity funds “Antin” managed by BNP Paribas Private Equity as a minority shareholder, and in partnership with Alos management, Spigraph Group took over the group to founders’ families to give birth to the second largest player in the European market.
Achieving more than €50m revenues with a team of 230 employees, the new group offers a homogeneous range of high value-added professional scanning solutions and is now located in 7 countries in Europe and North Africa : France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. Sharing a state of mind and common quality standards, both groups have strong geographic and business complementarities, which will enhance the service and relationships with their trading partners.
This operation follows the implementation by Spigraph of several international subsidiaries during the past 3 years. Daniel Chautard, Spigraph Group CEO, states: “Alos project is a milestone of our European expansion and is bound to be followed by other acquisitions to strengthen the group expansion in Europe.
